Kasey Truong is an engineer in JPL's Atmospheric Laser Spectroscopy Group. She obtained her B.S (cum laude) degree in Electrical Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona in 2004. For Earth Sciences, she works on two instruments: ALIAS-I (aircraft) and ALIAS-II (balloon). She has participated in several NASA aircraft campaigns such as the CRAVE Mission in Costa Rica, AVE Mission in Houston, Texas, and a high altitude balloon flight in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Her contributions to these campaigns include instrument preparation and troubleshooting, calibration, and data analysis. She is currently working on a laser spectrometer for CO2 and SO2 isotope ratio measurements funded by R & TD. Recently, she has helped develop the prototype instrument for the Tunable Laser Spectrometer (TLS) on the Mars Science Lab (MSL) Mission . She enjoys watching movies and working on her craft book during her spare time.
